MYSTERIOUS SHOT
FAMILY ALARMED, HOLE THROUGH WINDOW. WELLINGTON, April 28. Some mystery surrounds the entry oT a bullet into a room at a house in Wadestown where some people were sitting on Saturday evening. Mr R. A. Godtschalk, who lives only a short distance away, had called at the heme of 1 lbs father and mother at 73, Cecil Road and had been with them in one of the rooms for only two or three minutes, when there was suddenly a sharp crack. Mr Godtschalk. junr., and others who were in the room found on investigation that a small hole, perhaps a quarter of an inch in diameter, had appeared in the window. The po’ioe were commiinrnbd with and Mr Godtschalk went, outside and into the street, hilt could find no one about, anti no clue as to what had caused the occurrence.' 'File police considered from the type of hole in the window that: it had been caused undoubtedly by a bullet. What has por- " bed Mr Godtschalk considerably is the fact that one of his sisters regularly sits close to the window which was damaged, and sits generally in a position which would have led to most serious consequences had she been sitting there on Saturday evening. The bullet itself lias not yet been found.
