CARRYING A REVOLVER
THREE: MONTHS GAOL

At the Police Court, Edward Ward, a young man, was charged with carrying a revolver without lawful purpose. He was sentenced to three months gaol. The police stated the accused and two others were seen near premises under suspicious circumstances, and were kept under observation. A constant* found an unloaded revolver on a windowsill and accused admitted that lie carried keys which he had attempted to fit into a door of the premises. This was the third occasion in th e past three months that a person had been found in the city carrying a revolver.
