price for football rights. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH. April 24. Tt seems definite that- Rugby will not be broadcast in Canterbury this season. Mr H. R. Harris. General Manager of the Company, says the local Union requested a tee of £ooo sterling for the privilege of broadcasting the competition and provincial games. “Those terms leave nothing more to lie said. The. Union’s wishes are cjuite clear, and we leave it at that.”
