A FURTHER ADJUSTMENT.

(Received this day at 9 a.in.) MELBOURNE, April 2‘. Jn accordance with the cost of living figures for the quarter ended 31st. M,arch there will be a further adjustment of the basic wage. The new lates will he:— Melbourne, £‘4 6s, down 2s. Sydney £4 2s 6d, down 2s 6d. Brisbane £3 7s 6d, which is no reduction. Adelaide, £3 12s 6d, down 2s. Perth £3 13s, an increase of 66, Hobart £3 16s 6d, down Is 6d.
