Air AV. K. Lcacllcy, a member of the Unemployment, Board met members of the local Uneinployent Committee at the Town Hall this morning. There were present the -Mayor (Mr G-. A. Perry) in the chair, Alessrs Coles Evans, O’Neil, Armstrong, Horn, I-leenan and AlcGavin. Air Leadley addressed members at considerable lengthoutlining the- details of the new schemes, of the Unemployment Board and gi'ing interesting particulars of the working of the several schemes and the many difficulties mot and overcome. At the conclusion of his address a number of matters requiring attention were ventilated, answers given and further discussed. At the conclusion the Mayor thanked Air Leadley for the interesting information given and the latter in acknowledging same expressed his pleasure at the manner in which members of the local Committee were carrying oil their duties.
