Aussie Norman, who I possesses four aliases made a profitable shopping tour and obtained goods on cremt oy giving i;he name of Airs Norman of Lowry Hills. She also obtained th.e best treatment -it the rate oi £« a week in a private hospital. Norman, aged 87, described as a domestic, was sentenced to twelve months .gaol by the Alagistrate this morning for false pretences. It was in r seumtienlli conviction. Describing her stay in the hospital, the chief detective saiil as she was suffering from a goitre she obtained the services of a prominent doctor and she received the best of treatment. She took a private room. Before she went into the hospital she arranged with a florist to have flowers delivered each day and also approached a wine and spirit firm for supplies of wine there was no prospect of payment for anything.
