The union took exception to the men being (‘ailed out tor less than eight hours, and made a request on April (> that in luturo employees in tile power house should he guaranteed full shift wages irrespective of time workiM. r lhis wn)s declined and the men ceased work. The management contend that the men should have worked pending the reference of the matter to the Disputes Committee, hut the men contend that prior to reference to the D'spote s Committee, the old order of full shift should have been observed. Efforts to effect an amicable settlement have so far failed.
