A message from Tegucigalpa (Honduras) states: —The rebels are headed by Roman Diaz. They attacked Tola this afternoon. After severe lighting they repelled government troops. The number of casualties is unknown. Other trdops (attacked Souaguera, but were repelled. At Saba and near Progreso Government troops also defeated rebel forces. REBELS' RAPID ADVANCE, NEW YORK, April 20, A message from Tegucigalpa (Honduras) says that the present revolution appears to he the most comprehensive one which has broken out since 1924, and it is said to be gaining fast headway. Heavy fighting between the revolutionaries and the Government troops is reported, but broken communications have prevented the receipt of details. The insurgents are stated to have captured two north coast cities. Three United States cruisers are rushing to the scene to remove the American nationals, of whom it is said there are one thousand in the danger zone.

Women and children are fleeing from the interior in the hope of reaching safety on ships along the sea coast.
