Regarding mistakes nud in especial reference to “howlers.” a reader scuds the following:—A mother. whose daughter had just gone off for her honeymoon, wished to send a cite,-ring and affectionate telegram. She filled in the form thus: “1 John. 1.1 N" meaning her daughter to look un the text in the Let Epistle of Si. Joint, i fx which the words are: -'There is ic’ fear in love. I>;ir perfed love c.i'-tefli out fear.” Unfortunately the telegram was muddled and reached the daughter in this form: “John. 1.
