AN INQUIRY. CHRISTCHURCH, April 16. Coroner Mosley held an inquiry today into the death in the hospital of Queonie Dorothy Elizabeth Burley, aged 15. a domestic servant. Doctor Pearson, pathologist, gave evidence that death was due to perforation of the uterus and general peritonitis. In his opinion the perforation could not have bee on, caused by the girl herself. Other witnesses gave evidence concerning the girl’s friendship with a certain man and of trip? to a bach at New Brighton. The City Council decided to find work for five hundred unemployed till April 27t1i.. on the lines of the Unemployment Board’s No. 5 scheme at, a flat rate of twelve shillings and sixpence per day.
