APPLE EXHIBITION. (Reemved this day at 12.25. u.rn.t LONDON, April 14. Mrs P. 'Snowdon formally opened the apple season at the New Zealand House. She enthusiastically described her visit to the Dominion in 1914 and stated she had never been to a country so lovely. Mrs Snowden was overwhelmed with the beauty of the present exhibition and highly congratulated the organisers. She gratefully accepted from Lady Wilford a basket of apples, which she promised to share with the Chancellor. Anglos are one of the. principle articles of food in their home. She was photographed eating an apple in front of an artistic display of fruit. Sir T. Wilford described tin* growth of the apple, trade and hoped ere long the export to Britain would reach two million cases. He emphasised the mutual dependence of New Zealand on the motherland and pointed out that money snout in New Zealand products here returned payment in British goods. New Zealanders present were Mr \Y. Samuel M.P.. Sir Charles Holdswortli, Dr. McXntigliton, and Christie and Cecil Wrnv.
