RADIO PROGRAMME

(Supplied by the Radio Broadcasting Company of N.Z. Ltd.) SATURDAY, APRIL 11th. lYA’s programme to-night will consist of a relay of the Municipal Choir concert to be given in the Auckland Town Hall. Tlie first half of 2YA’s programme will be devoted to the next of the “Eight o’clock Revue” series specially written and arranged by Mr Will Bishop. Featured on MYA’s programme will be Lyndon P. Christie and his rythmic Symphonists. This is an excellent combination of six players. The evening’s programme will he of light and popular airs. The Rose and Thistle Duo will provide cabaret songs at the piano with banjolele. Popular numbers will he played by Miss Elaine Moody’s Hawaiian Quartet with steel guitars and ukulele. The evening’s programme will include songs by the popular tenor, Mr David McGill and humorous items by Mr L. 'l'. J. Ryan. A relay to 4YA will he carried out. MONDAY, APRIL 13« i. The dramatic play, “Joan of Arc” is to be produced by Mr J. F. Montague and his company at 2YA this evening. Conductor R. J. Install of the W°olston Band has arranged a line programme for his men at 3YA. An outstanding item should he a trombo,ne solo, “If With All Your Hearts,” played by Bandsman K. Williams. A horn solo. “Iona” will he played by Bandsman Turner. Miss Myra Pollard, mezzo-soprano, is one of tho vocalists. Mezzo-contralto solos will be presented by Mrs Rhys Morgan, while popular baritone aoul bass solos will he sung by Messrs Frank Jackson and R.. W. Role respectively. The Four Aces Concert party will be responsible for the entertainment to be broadcast by 4YA. Toe concerted numbers will he a feature. Solos and duets of a popular type will also he suing by the “Aces,” and a “Joker” will also play his p«rt. The pianist of the party will he Mr Norman Bachoo. who will o'-v “Finlandia.” The Studio Trio will contribute to the programme. Silent day at 1) A.
