surprise for intruder. MAN IN BOWLING PAVILION. AUCKLAND, April 7. A dramatic arrest was effected at an early hour this morning at the pavil ion of the Remuera Bowling Club, when a powerfully-built man was caught on the premises in possession of safe-breaking implements. For some time periodical raids ban been made upon the pavilion b\ thieves. Constable Gaston, accompanied by Constable Oliver, hurried to Market Road in a motor-ear arriving at the bonding pavilion 12 minutes after they received Mr Johnstone’s message^.
