"The Times’s” Palermo correspondent states: —Splendor hardly surpassable had they been the heirs of a reigning house, marked the wedding here of Prince Henry, son of the Dnk De Guise, the Pretender of the French Throne, with Princess Isabel Orleans Braganza, who is a. distant cousin. There could not have been a- more brilliant scene. The guests were distinguished and the ceremony was most imposing. Scores of European princes and princesses attended. The British Ambassador to Italy represented His Majesty the King. No fewer than eight hundred French Royalists arrived at Palermo by a specially chartered liner. By the special permission! of the Pope, the Cardinal-Archbishop of Palermo officiated. The richly-dressed guests thronged the Palermo CYithedral, the. interior of which was bedecked with antique tapestries, bejewelled vessels, and rich vestments. Outside there were cordons of troops, and uniformed Fascist militia. At the luncheon there were seven hundred guests. Tt was served in the grounds of the Palace D’Aumale, the centuries old Palormo homo of the Orleans Family.
