NEW YORK, April 7. Mr Anton Cormak, the Democrat candidate, has been elected Mayor of Chicago, thus ending the reign of Mayor William Thompson by a majority which promises to exceed two hundred thousand. Air Cormak'is a Bohemian by birth. Ho has been swept into oflice by the largest majority ever given a candidate for mayoralty of the city of (.'hi cage. BTG SUCCESS FOR DEMOCRAT. CHICAGO. April 7. The lie iv Mayor is Mr Anton (“Tone”) -C'ennak. He is a former Bohemian coal mine- mule driver, fir lias administered to “Big Bill” Thompson what apparently is the worst heating ever received by a (Mayoralty candidate in Chicago. Mr Cermak is winning if lie election. in which a record ’number of ballots were east, by npprox-fnrately two hundred thousand votes.
