MURDER CHARGE
FOLLOWS FATAL ASSAULT. (By Telegraph — l‘er Bress Association) TIMAI?U, April 7. Following an inquest this morning, touching the death of Robert .1 ttlvin Rahilly Nesbitt. aged 26, wiio died in Tiinuru Public Hospital at 4 u.m, yesterday ns the result of an alleged assault with robbery, in a motor car in Canoor Road <>u Saturday afternoon, .John Henry Fitzgerald and Thomas James Cox were formerly charged with murder, and remanded to appear at the Magistrates Court <>n Wednesday April loth. In his dying depositions, taken <;i Sumhiv evening at the nublic hospital Nesbitt stated hr was struck twice on the jaw by Fitzgerald, hut to-day |)rs. King and McKenzie said they did not notice cuts or bruises on the deceased's face. They admitted to Inspector A. S. Bird, who handled the ease for the police, that they had not looked fo t - signs of an assault. The Jury after a short retirement returned a verdict that deceased died from loss of blood and shock, caused by a car accident, in Canoor Road.
