EXTRA WARSHIP

BRITISH ADMIRAL'S PLEA

(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) LONDON, April 6. Admiral 11. B. Polly, who commanded the “Tiger,” from 1914 to 1916, makes a striking plea that the Admiralty should not scrap the “Tiger,” but keep her as a training ship, it being the last big coal-burning warship. The art of handling coal should be kept alive by the Navy, be- says, as it is most essential that British fuel should lie used and it would be unsafe to keep all the eggs in the foreign basket, as would be the eivse if the Navy relied on foreign oil fuel. Admiral Belly .considers Ihe “Tiger” is still the most all-round efficient- ship over built.
