A branch office of the Bank of New Zealand was the scene of an attempted robbery this .morning. Thompson, manager of North Dunedin branch went to North East Valiev office about 11.30 a.m. and was counting money, when there was a knock at the door, on opening which a man squirted a. stream of ammonia in his face.
