Healv, Timothy AI., K.C.. was Gov-ernor-General of .the Irish Free -State since Dec., 1922, aged 75; first elected in 1880; an Anti-Parncllite after the first split of 1890. but in Feb., 1900, supported reunion under Air Redtnond ; expelled from the? party in Oct.. 1900, as opposed to the United Irish League; re-invited thereto, Jan., 1908; re-excluded after General Eleetion, damuiry, 1910; in prison four months in 1883. His witty speeches delighted the House of Commons. Bencher, King’s Inn) Dublin, <>nd Gray’s Inn. Ills wife died in July, 1027.
