(Received 8.30 a.m.) LONDON* March 19. r The Empire Marketing Board’s report emphasised the need for improvement in the grading of Empire canned fruit, particularly the number and uniformity of pieces contained in tins. The report suggested that Australian canners should endeavour to increase the quantity, and choice, the grade of which at present is practically negligible, in order to enable retailers of high class goods to offer Empire fruits capable of competing with higher Californian grades.
