Horesmen went from farm to farm, tolling every man that lie was required to attend the sale, and to assist, if occasion demanded, in preventing one of their number being a victim. There was a ready response which proved an indication that the farmers were in earnest to resist forced sales. The auctioneer, however, did not put in an appearance, and the men dispersed, resolving to return if needed.
