RECORD OIL CATCH
WHALER HAS 100,000 BARRELS. RETURN FROM ROSS SEA. INVERCARGILL, March 10. The whale chaser Star 10 arrived at Bluff at noon from the Boss Sea. The Sir James Clark Ross, with her fleet of chasers, proceeded to Stewart Island, where they have arrived sa'ely. The delay ill the return of the fleet was caused by the breaking of the tadshaft and loss of the propeller of the Star 14, which had to he Lowed to port. The Sir James Clark Ross is reported to have over 100,000 barrels of oil—a world record catch.
