(Tyitos's decision on sweepstakes and rallies is based oil an Act of the year 1823. and it means that the sale of the Irish sweep toekets in England is illegal. The Attorney-General pointed out that between the years 1782 and 1823. there was an annual hull rv in England. It was regulated hv an annual Act. of Parliament. Me said that during later years, lotteries were specifically prohibited, and the Act is still in force.
