N.S.W. AGENT GENERAL. SUCCESSOR TO SIR. G. FULLER. (Australian Press Association.) 'SYDNEY, March 10. Albert C. Willis, leader of the Government in the Legislative Council of New South Wales, and Vice President of the Executive Council has been appointed Agent General/ in' succession of Sir Geo. Fuller, whose term in London has expired. Originally a coalminer, Air Willis became General Secretary of the Australian Coal Shale Employers Federation in 1915 and was appointed to the Legislative Council by the Lang Administration in 1915.
FLIGHT OF CAPITAL. AN INVESTIGATION. CANBERRA, March 10. It is reported the Federal Commissioner of Taxation is beginning an investigation into the flight of capital from Australia. The investigation will include the purchase of New Zealand shares and bonds 'by sharebrokers on behalf of clients travelling to America who realise upon them in the Dominion. . By 26 votes to 5. a special meeting of the Dailey electorate council carried’ a vote of no confidence in the Federal Treasurer, Mr Theodore. The. jneeting decided to support the policy erf the State Premier, Mr Lang in the Kast Sydney by-election, and congratulated him on his! financial policy. Mr Thpodore in n fighting speech, made a bitter attack on Air Lang.
