Within half an hour, the Cambridge athlete Tisdall, mane a record by winning four events at the inter-ATirsity sports. He began with the 120 yards hurdles, which he won in fifteen and a half seconds. For the weight-putting and long jumping events, fie simultaneously secured wins. In the former he did 488 inches, and in the latter twenty three feet ami a half inch, winning both in the easiest manner. Finally he won the quarter-mile by fifteen yards in fifty-one seconds. The Cambridge supporters carried him off shoulder high. AYansey was fonrih in the quarter idle, and third, in the half-mile. Ka laugher (New Zealand) was fourth in the hurdles.
