DEPRESSION CURE.

RESTORATION OF CREDIT. LONDON, .February 29. The restoration of international credit and confidence as a cure of the world-wide depression was the subject of a conference between British and French Treasury experts. It was agreed that cardinal importance attached to the resumption of foreign lending on a normal scale by creditor countries. Both Treasuries recognise that the present credit difficulties are largely due to lack of confidence on the part of the investor, and that it is essentia! that borrowing countries should tnkj all possible measures to restore confidence. Steps to promote effective eo-ope-ntion between the various money markets with a view to loan operations would contribute to alleviate the existing depression, and all possible steps should he examined. The primary object of the conference was to establish a policy of financial co-operation between London and Paris, in attempting to alleviate depression.
