CYCLING.
The second of the Gillnian Cup series if cycle races was run on Saturday >ver a course to Woodstock and hack. A good field faced the starter including ;wo new riders, who showed distinct promise. The winner, ("'has. I*faille rt, registered his second successive win since his debut from an avowed retirement two years ago. The handicapping was again a feature, as with about three exceptions, they all finished within 40 seconds of the winner. The following were the results: Boys race:—J. Honey (scr.) 1; AT. Smyth (OOsecrs) ?. Also started:—T. Olsen (scr.) broken chain.

Tlie cycling events to be held in connection with the gala night in aid of the Belief Fund, will he:—mile race, 1 mile race in which the Turner Cup vi!l be competed for, for the first time To win this Cup outright it must bo won thrice in succession. 1 mile hoys race. Cycle races commence 6.40 p.m.
