CO NS.TABLE M '.ZZ *' G. (Ihj Tcleyruph —/*er Press Association) MILLERTON. March o. Much concern is felt at Millerton as to the whereabouts of ConstableD. Flannery, who has been missing from his home since Tuesday last. The constable customarily had his meals at the Criterion Hotel, and his absence* on Tuesday at tea time and at breakfast time on Wednesday, aroused the fears of the hotel keeper, who, on making investigations, found that the policeman’s lied had not been occupied the previous night in a detached office at the Police Station, where he resided . Tin* matter was reported to Constable Hislop, of Granit.v, who immediately visited the Hill and examined the room in which Constaoio Flannery slept. The door was locked and access was gained through the only window in the office, but nothing was discovered to indicate the whereabout of the constable. 'ldle information was dieted that the last place he was seen was on the outskirts of tin* Stockton township and search parties were organised and the \vicinity was thoroughly combed until the early hours of this morning, (Thursday), but without result. The search has been resumed to-dnv.
