SENTENCES GIVEN.

At Hamilton Supreme Court this morning Alexander Geson and Russell William James Henry, for forgery and Uttering at Rotorua were each placed un probation for two years. Allan David Me Roger, for theft of €4, a cheque, wallet and stamps from Bishop Court., Hamilton, to probation for 3 years.
.LIIIII Lynch, attempted breaking and entrance at Moninsville to 1.2 months hard labour. Joseph Pollard Tnttam, indecent assault. probation for one. year. TTis Honour said the sentence was unusual, but the case was also unusual. Bernard Walker, a native, for forgery, theft and false pretences was sentenced to two terms of two and one of three years reformative detention, the sentences to be concurrent.

At the Supreme Court this morning on a. charge of stealing butter from the Mauriceville Dairy Factory, Arthur Henry Palmer was placed on probation for three years. On a charge of having received same, Andrew Weddnrspoon. was fined £IOO plus the costs of the prosecution payable in instalments of £5 a month in default 6 months imprisonment with hard labour.
