Minor disturbances characterised Communist demonstrations that were held in various cities of the United States and Canada during International Unemployment Day. Three thousand Reds - clashed with the police here in New York, with only a few hurt. Boston reported several arrests when 260 ■•police engaged several thousand disorderly Communist celebrants 111 the historic Commons. There were 28 arrests made in Pittsburgh, five in Dallas (Texas), four in Oklahoma City, and an undesignated number of distributors of “Red” literature in Houston (Texas). Two police and a girl were injured in Toronto, and one policeman in Sudbury (Ontario). The police prevented a riot in Hamilton.
