The British Government is shortly announcing a loan of £172,000 sterling to Nadir Khan, King of Aghanistan, also a gift of ten thousand modern lilies and five million rounds of small arm ammunition. It is in response' to Austen Chamberlain’s undertaking in the Commons on Jan. 30th. 1929, when lie said if a strong Central. Government were established Britain was prepared to accord all possible assistance in the reconstruction of the country.
