I, February' IS. | For nearly lour hours yesterday the i Viceroy and Dr. Gandhi had a Irani; talk on India’s constitutional progress. The talk is being resumed to-day. There are indications that Dr. Canon, is eager lor a compromise, involving his co-operation in the resumed work of tho Round-Table Conference in India. Due to trade depression to the Civil disobedience, the Indian State railways lost C3/Jo(),U(K) last year. Ear Horn improving, the communal situation in Holy I Jena res lias become worse during the past two days. It is now revealed that fifteen are dead and nearly two hundred injured. One entire family was stabbed, to dentil, while in another part o. the city. 20 houses were burned, and property looted. Panic continues in tho city. Many rich Mohammedans are fleeing lor safety. Unless the situation improves soon the troops will take charge.
