WELLINGTON, February 17. . Primarily with a- view of- fostering commercial aviation in New Zealand, Captain E. J. Jones, and Flying Officer H. Owen arrived at Wellington today by the Ulimaroa from Sydney. It is the airmen’s intentions to tour the Dominion by air. Jt is expected the tour will extend over several weeks, probably until the beginning of April, the object being to make business people and others more “air minded.” Lectures will be given to Aero Clubs, and intending members of Aero Clubs, and by various kinds of propaganda it is hoped to give commercial aviation in New Zealand a decided stimulant. PROJECTED FLIGHT. (Received 10.50 non,) LONDON, Febntuty 17. Hoping to be the first Australian trained pilot to fly from England to Australia, Mr K, J.L Jlrpadbeut of Sydney, plans to leave about March 'lßth in a Backburn Bluebird light biplane, fitted with extra tankage. He is not attempting a record.
