UNEMPLOYMENT
OPPOSED TO RATIONING. (JAMARE, February 7. The Waitaki County Council this morning decided that rationing as proposed by the Unemployment Board’s Number d scheme was impracticable for county work. It was decided to write to the Board protesting against the rate of pay proposed. While the Council was sympathetic, it was impossible for it to work under the scheme. If the Board was pro pa ml to accept the Council’s recommendations, the Council was prepared to cooperate. RECORD REGISTRATIONS. WELLINGTON, Fob. 7.
