DROWNING FATALITY. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) GREYMOUTH, February 12. William Robinson, aged 36, cook on the ship Kaponga, with wife living in Wellington, is missing. It is believed he fell overboard in the Grey River from the vessel this morning. Dragging operations are proceeding. LATERThe Captain reports that Robinson jumped overboard and did not rise again. UNDERGROUND FATALITY. NEW PLYMOUTH, February 12. A fall of earth in the Elliott Street liquificntion chamber. Now Plymouth’s new sewerage system, caused the death of Harry Pophnni, aged 31, last night. Another worker. A. Wilson, received a fractured thigh. When the previous fall of earth occurred on Monday night, Pophnm was engaged stripping the walls in preparation for the lining with concrete. The soil is of a sandy nature and comes away without Llh> slightest warning.
