Iho “limes” Riga correspondent says the Soviet is organising a special factory police and firemen, armed with rifles, ostensibly to protect industrial enterprises against wreckers and enemies of the five year plan. It is distinct from the ordinary police and Red Army and is directly managed by the Extreme Economic Council. The Chief of the tra iiing centre at Lenigrnd issued the first batch of officers last week who were specially admonished of the importance of their duty in protecting industry from within.
The Students Military Academy has been nearly trebled since last year.
