' Thirty members of the crew oi the British steamer, E'nton, which was stranded near Noumea, reached Sydney to-dav, on route for England, where an inquiry will be held. The captain is remaining aboard until the surveyor arrives. The crew are unanimous that no fire occurred prior to the stranding. ft was explained Patrick Sullivan, a member of the crew, was helping to launch a boat when a hawser inflicted severe wounds in Ins leg, from which he bled to death. A stowaway was found aboard the Eaton after she left Lyttelton. Ho proved to be Arthur Rowe, of New South Wales, who tried unsuccessfully to obtain work in New Zealand.
