JAPANESE DISASTER. TWO SHIPS LOST. (Australian Press Association.) PERTH, February H. Disaster lias overtaken the Japanese steamer C'lianshei Maru which has been stranded on a reef thirteen miles from Point Coates, also a sister vessel, the Clmfuku Maru, which went lo her assistance. The latter struck a reef twelve miles from the Chansliei Maru and is sinking. Wireless messages reporting their plight have been received by the navigation authorities in Western Australia, but it is difficult to obtain details owing to the captain.s’s mifamiliarity with the English language. The masters of both vessels state the crews are in no immediate danger. They arc awaiting instructions from the owners at Kobe.
