The six roomed residence of Air A. ,J. Buddy of Ra-ifurly Street Runanga was totally destroyed by fire at an early hour yesterday morning. Nothing was saved, and a. bucket brigade oT willing helpers experienced diffieultv in protecting the house of Air L. Hunter next to Air Boddy’s house. Air Boddy was the only occupant of the house.
A Chevrolet sedan car, owned and driven »v Air D. Wilson, of Kokiri. was totally destroyed by fire on the 'I ay 1 orville* Road, midway between Taylorville and Greymouth, at HD3O o'clock yesterday morning. Air AAdson was severely burned about the hands when endeavouring to extinguish the liames. The car was insured in the British Traders’ Insurance Company.
