THE VESSEL BEACHED. NO IMMEDIATE DANGER, Australian Picas Association.) SYDNEY, January 28. A hre at eea on the British motor .ship Enton. She broadcasted on S.O.S. this morning for assistance saying that the tire was among her shipment of case oil. It has since been learned that the Enton was safely beached at the southern end of New Caledonia. She is making water badly, but the vessel is in no immediate danger. r J he sea is smooth. There are lighters now proceeding to her relief from Noumea for the removal of her cargo. The Enton was bound from New Zealand for Noumea when the fire was discovered. SYDNEY, January 28. Advice has been received that the “Enton” is aground on the Uni hie Reef, which is near a small island off Amadee. Probably she was beached in in a desperate effort to save her.
