Repyling to farmers in regard to the disirepaney between the prices paid to farmers by butchers for meat and prices for over the counter, Hon. de la Perelle says it is not practicable to make an investigation covering the whole of the Dominion. Inquiries are at present being made at Timaru, and lie would be glad togive instruction for immediate inquiries wherever a complaint is received.
