When the motor-cyclist went to their aid he was surprised to see a quantity of silver plait e and other articles scattered on the roadway. A passing motorist took news of rhe au ident to the Luton police, and the t»vo injured men were taken to Luton Infirmary, where they were detained. The property found ori the roadway was also taken to Luton. The police discovered that a large home in the town, which was temporarily unoccupied, had been entered and a considerable amount of property stolen.
