LARGE LAUNCH LOST,

(By Telegraph —Per Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 28.

The launch “Princess," owned by Mr P. Kinniinont, suddenly Tmrst into flames in the upper harbour. There were two occupants, Messrs J. Watkins and G. Hendren, who donned lifebelts, and swam half a mile to the shore.

The launch drifted ashore, being completely destroyed. She was valued at over one thousand pounds. She was insured fop four hundred pounds, Formerly she was engaged in the Rotorua Lake trade. She had accommodation for 51 passengers.
