ENDURANCE SWIM

TWO LEGLESS MEN

SYDNEY, January 25

The first, hatch of five, out of the sixty swimmers who am contesting-the' International Endurance Swim at the Manly Baths, entered the water yesterday afternoon in steady, dull weather, but ideal lor the purpose. Charles Zimmy, the legless champion of America, and William Morris, the Australian legless title holder, wore the first pair in the water. Henderson, Williams and Jefferson followed later. Only five contestants are allowed in the water at one time. Zimmy smoked a cigar while alternately floating and paddling.
