Though Germany’s exports in 1930 exceeded her imorts by ninety millions sterling, there are general protests against the assumption that tins means ‘that she is fully capable of meeting the reparations payment*. The German press emphasises th.-u many of Germany’s exports last year were uneconomic, and were sold below cost, especially those of coal and iron, the high exports being therefore n» expression of the partial liquidation of Germany industry. It is .claimed that the figures prove German inability to meet the reparations and other for eign, liabilities without losses injuring the entire fabric of Germany industry.
