BRITISH POLITICS

, THE LIBERALS’ ATTITUDE. .United Pres o Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) LONDON, January 23. In view of the dependence of the Labour Government on Liberals, especially for a passage of the Trades Disputes Bill, an article by the Liberal back-bencher in the “Morning Post” is significant, hie says every day he is asked “why don't you Mini the Government out.” There is not a single Liberal who would not like to do so, hut firstly we must get a little money in the Party chest. Most Liberals fear an election will mean their dtfoat. The writer expresses the opinion that it is obvious that the Government is going to fall before the pasing of the Electoral Reform Bill. The question which Liberal Commoners are discussing is whether or not it is better to risk their own fate*, amt at least gain some credit, tor ridding the country of the present Government.
