Mr. Graham (President of the Board of Trade), said that he would later on make a statement regarding the preparations for the Ottawa Conference. Pressed by Sir Frederick Hall (Conservative) to say what was actually being done, Mr Graham said:—“lf you mean tariffs, I can promise nothing of that description.”
