SPEED BOATS
KAYE DON’S FEAT
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.)
LONDON, January 20.
Kaye Don surprised the experts by attaining a speed of eighty-one miles an hour at the first of the Miss England speed boat trial on Lough Nea, this performance was all the more meritorious, because it was achieved in semi darkness. Pillows of name darted from the boat’s exhausts as Miss England circled the lake.
Kaye Don says:—“She behaved perfectly. We had the throttle only half open.
It is expected Miss England will attain 110 miles an hour, before she goes to South America
