It is announced in order to mark the position of Governor-Ge.nerla *of South Africa as the King’s personal representative, His Afajesty has graciously been pleased to approve of the Governor-General flying a spreial symbolic flag consisting of a blue ground whereon the Royal crest in gold with words Union of South A.’rica . ghove the crest and Unie Van Sudafrika below. ■ The flag was used for the first .time on Lord Clarendons’ asump.tion of office.
