NAVAL AGREEMENT
FRANCE AND ITALY
(United Press Association—-By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.)
LONDON, January 16
The “Morning Post’s” Paris correspondent says:—Tt is understood here that practically a complete FrancoJtnlian naval agreement has been readied, and that only the question of submarines is unsettled. France has undertaken to limit herself to seven ten-thousand ton cruisers compared with the twelve she had d- .'mantled at London. Italy contents herself with six six-thousand ton cruisers, though retaining her theoretical right to parity'. The status quo will be maintained in capital ships, and aeroplane carriers. France wants submarines aggregating seventy-five thousand tons to Italy’s Jo.HOG tons. Italy is holding on for 52,700 tons.
